Hailing from Hamburg, Germany, Lars got an early start in music with his ear pressed up against the doors of the legendary Reeperbahn 'Star Club' where The Beatles were playing - alas, too young to get in.

But he was inspired anyway and decided to study classical music. While he knew a degree in classical music was not particularly needed just to move to California, Lars completed his Master degree in classical music education at the Musik Akademie and Hochschule in Luebeck, Germany with Prof. Roland Ploeger and Prof. Albert Aigner before hitting the road. Lars continued composition studies and scoring for film with Prof. Daniel Wyman in California.

Lars’ career spans a wide range of music industry expertise—from music composer and sound designer to recording engineer/producer and music software entrepreneur creating MIDI software products for Roland Musik GmbH.

Lars Hidde's recording engineer and music producer credits include Germany's premiere studios: he learned his chops working for Dieter Dierks (The Scorpions) and Ralf Arnie (Freddie Quinn, Roger Whitacker, Otto Waalkes), and quickly started recording and producing for EMI, RCA, Elektra, Phonogram, Teldec, and WEA with Peter Schilling (International synth pop hit "Error in The System"), Randy California (Ed Cassidy, Spirit), Kamelesh Maitra (George Harrison, Ravi Shankar), Richard Mazda (Miles Copeland, Maceo Parker, Wall of Voodoo), and other legendary producers, artists and performers including Knut Kiesewetter, Joachim Kühn, Udo Lindenberg, Steffi, Stephan, Nils Tuxen, Mickie Stickdorn, Bertram Engel, Wolfgang Schlüter, Christoph Spendel, Chris Evans, Michael Chambosse, Marsha Hunt, Dieter Thomas Heck, Herb Geller, Bob Lanese, Helmut Franke, Hermann Hausmann, Karl-Hermann Lüer, Bernd Steffanowski, Peter Hesslein, Fritz Wacker, Doris Kaempfert, Peter Beil, Henner Hoyer, Hans Haider, Leo Landros.

Lars composed and produced theme music for award wining interactive new media releases for Compaq, Lotus, NEC, Sun Microsystems, and Microsoft.

Lars played live performances with Will Ackerman, Grammy Award winning guitarist and founder of Windham Hill Records, ambient trumpet/flugelhorn artist Jeff Oster, Patrick Gorman, Jeff Pearce, and Michael Manring - creating contemporary electronica and remixes.

Lars has written a diverse collection of music for independent films, The Unwilling - Shawn Flanagan, 4U - Ehren Koepf, The Reason - Mike Chance, Trained In the Way of Men - Michelle Prevost, The Book - Anay Tarnekar, The Narrow Road - Mike Chance, Isn't it Obvious - Michelle Prevost, The Re-Awakening - Isis Rodriguez (Individual Arts Commission Grant of San Francisco), Remembrance Of Time Passing - Heidi Verlaine, Birth of a Gemini - Rekha Radhakrishnan, Manny's Missing - Neill Kramer, Pescadero Park - Song Cato, Yuangong Movements - Philip Lei Yang.

Encouraged by hi-tech, low bandwidth streaming and large audiences Lars introduces his latest music projects on this web site, insisting that the Internet is one of the best places to be.
